Greetings! Amy here. Happy Valentine’s, if that’s your jam.
I mistakenly wrote “December” not “February” in the title of last week’s post. 🤦♀️ Hopefully this didn’t trigger your immediate Delete Email reflex! Raise your hand if you also don’t know what month it is. 🙌
Anyway, get your calendars ready, here are next week’s upcoming events.
What’s happening next week:
[Feb 17] How to start a business in 2021: Launching in lockdown
[Feb 17] Founders Pickle #22 (Founders help solve each other’s startup-related problems)
[Feb 18] How to Prepare Your Startup For Venture Capital Funding
In case you missed it…
There were a couple of really interesting events last week!
First, I caught the tail end of Challenger Accelerator’s startup event. As a new founder currently at the “idea stage”, I found it very humbling to listen to pitches from individuals who have been through a rigorous accelerator program. As I sat in the chatroom with 246 other guests, I did wonder whether I’d be more or less nervous doing a virtual pitch. What do you think? Reply and let me know!
The second event I attended was a whirlwind review of the 2021 State of Independent SaaS survey by MicroConf Co-Founder, Rob Walling. Rob went through all of the major findings and compared them with last year’s results. The slides below show examples of the types of statistics that are included in the report. Pretty interesting if you’re keen to build a successful startup of your own.
Good news if you missed the event - you can download the full report and watch a recording of the live stream.
That’s it from me. Have a great week!
